Uniquely & ethically recovered tropical hardwood from
beneath the rivers and waters of Southeast Asia
Welcome to Tree Rivers
Tree Rivers is a part of the Muliamas Group of companies — the world pioneers in the underwater logging of uniquely preserved and sustainable tropical hardwood logs from rivers and hydroelectric dams.
We are not a timber company; we are conservationists working towards ending the unscrupulous logging practices that have plagued the world’s ancient rainforests for generations.
We reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions in two primary ways. Firstly, through recovering trees and logs that emit methane whilst trapped under the water. Secondly, through carbon sequestration — carbon is locked away inside our sawn wood products rather than being released into the atmosphere.
"Each log recovered from beneath the water is a tree saved in the forest"
Our Wood
Once thought lost, these hidden treasures were preserved on the riverbeds, protected from deterioration due to lack of oxygen and sunlight. Some logs have even been infused with unique colours and patterns from their subterranean environments.
Our timber is perfect for a range of applications from engineered structural timbers (including CLT and Glulam) to bespoke furniture and sculptures.

Sustainability
South East Asia is home to some of the richest and most diverse rainforests in the world, and we want to keep it that way.
Rather than felling trees from these more than 100 million year old forests, we chose to sustainably harvest tree and logs that have been lost under rivers and dams worldwide.
